I installed my tune yesterday and it’s an amazing difference the way the truck performs. It pulls firmly up through the gears, which is pretty much the opposite of what it used to do, and holds you firmly back in your seat. It has taken me a little time to adjust to the accelerator which now only needs to be pressed down slightly to get it hauling Butt!

In this modern day and age, new vehicles are coming with longer and more comprehensive power train warranties. Most, if not all GM vehicles, for example, now come with a 5 year, 60,000 mile power train warranty which covers against manufacturer defects. E.g. if your engine has a failure that requires the replacement of the engine, the manufacturer will cover the cost and labor of doing so. The manufacturer's power train warranty coverage is a strong selling point, and it's terms have become a product differentiation across vehicle brands in various markets.
TRIFECTA: Test results of Racer X LUJ/LUV intake manifold
In 2017, Racer X Fabrication (http://racerxfabrication.com/) brought to market an aftermarket intake manifold for the 1.4L Turbo MPFI engine (RPO: LUJ and LUV). They advertise it as being only compatible with the 2012+ Chevrolet Sonic, but in fact we determined it also fits the 2011 – 2016 Chevrolet Cruze / Chevrolet Cruze Limited without issue. We purchased one in early 2018 and tested it on our 2016 Chevrolet Cruze Limited with the RPO:LUV engine. This article discusses the manifold, and the test results versus the stock intake manifold.
With our recent unveiling of FPCM (fuel pump control module) / CCM (chassis control module) recalibration to support larger injectors on the 1.4T, another idea struck us. Could we also recalibrate the FPCM/CCM to allow the addition of dual mode exhaust valves to the Gen1 Chevrolet Cruze / Chevrolet Sonic? Maybe, actually.

Getting enough fuel into a tuned-up 1.4T Gen 1 Cruze or Gamma II has been a challenge about as long as people have been modifying them. The factory fuel injectors top out at about 26 lb/hr of flow, which is enough for a tune-only, on gasoline, but if you want to switch to E85, or a larger turbo, you're definitely going to need larger fuel injectors.
