In the tuning world, it is commonly held that there are largely two types of “tunes”:  “canned” and “customized”.  TRIFECTA's tuning products are sometimes described as “canned”, but this is a misnomer, as “canned” implies you get what you get and that's it.  This article explains the differences between “canned” and “customized” tunes and how TRIFECTA's tuning products are in one way a hybrid of the best qualities of both, and in another way are in a class of their own.

We took a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze, removed the factory 1.4L Turbo engine, and dropped in a 3.6L Twin Turbo engine from a 2014 Cadillac XTS VSport! It lives! 500hp Cruze anyone?

TRIFECTA is proud to present Autostop Disable - a new product line that simply disables the factory “autostop” feature!  Introduced as a fuel-savings feature, “autostop” allows the vehicle to shut the engine off when the vehicle is stopped, and quickly restart it when the driver is ready to move the vehicle, but not all vehicle owners feel it works smoothly enough.

We have an extra LE2 (Gen2 Cruze) engine we're tearing down, and the first part we took off is the intake manifold. It's a relatively open plenum design, though what's fascinating is that GM relocated the throttle body centrally as opposed to a more "log style" the Gen1 engine used.

We'd mentioned to several people wondering about our 55mm turbo project that there had been some delays due to a compressor change. It turns out the change was to make the compressor even larger!
