I've been really happy with this tune. My Colorado seems really light on it's wheels now. The "sport " mode is a bonus. Makes red light launches a seat of your pants experience. Plus I'm seeing 26 to 27 mpg hwy with "eco" mode that beats the 23 to 24 mpg I was seeing stock. I've put close to 4,000 miles on the tune and with no regrets so far. 2016 Colorado LT 3.6l with tow package w/ 28k. Keep up the good work Trifecta!

2016 Colorado V6 WT 4X4
All stock except for a K&N drop in filter and changed the 16" steel rims to the 17" Alloy.
Not a single issue.
CT driving is always up and down hills and mountains and my MPG per tank was always 17-19 depending on how much longer highway driving I'll do. After install and only going from 87oct to 89oct (91 isn't an option in my area. only 93) my mpg went to 20-25.
All the low speed passing issues I had are gone. No more needing to stomp on it to get to downshift to pass someone doing 30 in a 45 zone. And that's in economy mode.
Performance mode is unbelievable. Wanted to see if the 99mph cap was lifted with this. On the highway one night put it in performance and punched it. 70 to 115 in less than 3 seconds. Only reason I didn't go faster was because I ran out of straight road.
Took less than 10 minutes to install after hookup to my laptop.

Side note: Remember to be in economy mode when driving in snow.....

Best $300 ever spent!! 2015 Colorado Z71, was never happy with how the truck shifted, from the day I got it. Asked dealership, every time that I went in, if others were complaining about their trucks not shifting right. They said it was the way they were supposed to shift. I had gotten to the point that I was driving mine in the "manual" mode and just shifting it myself, but still it would chug and lurch, if I didn't get it shifted down in time. I kept waiting for there to be a recall or something - but, it never happened... Finally, I went to the Colorado complaint forum, and someone mentioned the Trifecta Tune. I was hesitant, but after reading the reviews I was eager to give it a try. Like countless others on here have said - I actually enjoy driving my truck, now. I drive 95% in the ECO mode, and the truck shifts like it should!! I cant believe I drove for 40,000 miles before finding out about this. Just makes no sense to me why Chevy didn't have this truck tuned like this from the factory. Anyway, if you are contemplating the tune - GET IT! you wont regret it..

One other comment - if you want true peace and joy - like this world can not give - give your heart to the Lord (Jesus Christ). It`s the greatest thing that ever happened in my life! Greatest thing that could ever happen in yours, too ! May the good Lord bless all who read this.... Jason

I bought the tune for my 2015 Colorado after hearing good things from others who purchased it.  It performs better than I expected.  The shift points are right where GM should have put them in the first place.  The truck now pulls hard after shifting into second gear.  It feels like it has a lot more power now.  I've loved this truck ever since I bought it, but the shifting was the weak point.  The Trifecta tune was a great improvement!  Don't be scared.  Installation is easy.  The staff at Trifecta is also very helpful.

After doing some research decided to order the trifecta tune and installed it about 2weeks ago. Install

took about 10 minutes very easy to install. Took 2016 colorado for a ride and now it runs like a muscle

car in Sport mode. Now have smoother shift points, quicker throttle response and more horsepower.

 

Customer service is Great they answered all my questions very quickly via emails. Should of got this

tune 2 years ago but I'm glad I found these guys after doing my research. Would Highly recommend

the trifecta tune.

 

Just want to say thanks guys at trifecta having a blast now with my Truck.

I just installed my trifecta advantage in my 2015 colorado 3.6 two wheel drive truck. What a difference it makes in the shifting compared to the factory settings. I've driven the truck for over 30.000 miles factory stock, after the install of the advantage. Wish i would have got it much sooner. I highly recommend this product to fix that clunky factory shift. I've not had a chance to even try the performance side but i'm sure it will be good.

The flash worked like a charm on my stock 2015 3.6l Colorado, took me maybe 10 minutes to complete. Love the way the truck runs now. I really wonder why they do not program the ECU like that at the factory. It works great all around but especially at low speed - it's really night and day, no more transmission going into the wrong gear and engine lugging. The throttle response is fantastic! The overall driving experience is so much better.

 

One note - I got the OBD flash loader in the mail before the actual tune file was ready on the website. I was confused at first because the flash loader file was there and I didn't know the tune file was separate. I sent a message to support and they responded quickly (on New Years Day!), and said the file was in progress. I had it in a couple hours after that. From the time of my order (Christmas weekend) to the time I had the flash installed was eight days, and that included two holidays. As fast as that was, I'm guessing it would be even quicker during a normal shipping cycle.

 

My only regret is I didn't do this sooner!

I have a 2016 Colorado Z71 V6 with 6 speed automatic, 2wheel drive. I really like everything about this midsized truck except the automatic transmission! I have 20000 miles on it and have been to 3 dealerships trying to get assistance in modifying the shift points of this tyranny. Same answer as always, they can'take modify from factory specs! The current tune settings always keeps the Trans in too high of a gear so when I need the acceleration, it would buck & hesitate before downshifting and then launch into gear. Very disgusting performance. I was averaging 23.5 miles per gallon as I drive 62 miles a day, combination city & freeway traffic with the AC on as I live in Phoenix. I would like to say that this tune package is by far the best $300 I have ever spent on a vehicle! I'm a car guy for 40 years (Chevy) and am extremely impressed as I was even thinking about trading the Colorado in on a v8 full size truck. Don't delay, get this package now! I have been running in ECONO mode all week and just check the gas mileage and it shows 27.7 mpg! With lots of power & great shifting manners. Performance will blow you away!

Installed this tune over the weekend, and I am kicking myself for not purchasing this earlier. My truck would hesitate and sputter out all the time, the truck was never in the right gear at lower speeds. Had the ECM re-programmed twice by chevy for updates, never made a difference. They said it was normal and the behavior was there for fuel economy.

 

After 10 minutes of programming my truck has new life. With cruise control turned off you are in performance mode, and it scream compared to before! Cruise control on puts the truck in economy mode, feels very similar to stock ( a little power gain maybe) but no more stutter at lower speeds.

 

If your truck was doing what mine was GET THIS TUNE!

Ok so I purchase a 2015 Chevy Colorado. Low mileage so I took it on a very long test drive before I purchased it. Was Leary of the 25 K on the odometer.

 

Rode great. Nothing unusual.

 

Had it for a few months and one day, stalled out at a red light.

From that point on, three or fours days out of the week, truck ran like crap!

Poor acceleration, slow to shift, up or down, Truck just got all confused. I had to bury the gas pedal to get any sort of reaction out of the 306 HP vvt v6. Had enough with dealers telling me there nothing wrong! Just installed the Advantage package and its as if I dumped nitrous in the tank!!!!Drives great! Responsive and I can really feel the tourque increase!! Best $300.00 I've spent in a long time. Thanks Trifecta!!

I bought the 2016 Chevy Colorado about 8 months ago. I love the truck but was disappointed by the lack of power and acceleration it had. The transmission was sluggish especially the low gears they were so rough in shifting. Then I bought the Trifecta Performance Tuner. Wow! What a difference. I noticed it as soon as I backed out of the driveway. The acceleration has improved tenfold. The truck is like a brand new truck. The lower gears where I noticed the sluggish response (1100-1500rpms), was totally corrected. Chevy has done a huge disservice to its 2016 Colorado. I really cannot believe the change. All the problems with the automatic shifting and downshifting are gone. I would recommend this to anyone. If you can operate a laptop then you will have no problem downloading then uploading the Trifecta tuner.

Let me first say I'm not the guy who is really anxious to mess with factory stuff on my new truck. However I read about the tune on the Coloradofans forum and I had definitely noticed that the truck seemed sluggish in terms of acceleration considering it has 305 crank HP. In order to merge on a highway, I really had to get on the gas hard to get it to downshift and accelerate. So I got the Advantage tune. It's literally like night and day. Why it doesn't come like this from the factory is a mystery to me (I also got a 2" leveling kit which is how it should have looked from the factory!). The ECO mode feels similar to the stock mode so it's nice to have that option since the sport mode is way too much fun and makes me to drive in ways that are probably not real fuel efficient. :) Anyway it was an excellent decision to get it and easy to install. Love it.

I cannot remember how much fun a press of a single button can create.

 

1) Turn Cruise off

2) Enjoy a silky smooth transmission-the way Detroit should have done it in the first place.

3) Strap in and hang on for your dear life.

 

It's like seeing the Ying and Yang of my Colorado. I haven't had this much by pressing a button since my Pac Man Days in High School. Why did I wait so long?

 

Only request, please show some love for Apple lovers by creating an OS X compatible flash.

I am very pleased with the tune on my 2015 Z71 Colorado. The shift points are so much better than factory in the performance mode. In the eco I have gotten as much as 24.6 mpg in city and I zeroed for straight hwy driving and got 31 mpg. I did swap out the factory filter for a K& replacement filter.

Phenomenal improvement after uploading the basic Trifecta software for my 2015 Colorado. Throttle lag/hesitation has all but disappeared. Every so often I'll accelerate and get some lag or a small "jerk", but no where near what GM programmed into the truck from the factory. Also, after 1500 miles of driving since I installed the Trifecta software, my gas mileage has improved by nearly 4 MPG! I am now getting 21.1 MPG in local, stop and go, short distance, neighborhood driving. ( I run home improvement business, so I go from house to house, sometimes towing a trailer) I have not had a chance to check highway mileage, but I'm certain it should improve dramatically too. I am extremely pleased with the improvements I've seen after installing the Trifecta software. Thank you!!

Simply unbelievable improvement. My Colorado finally performs like the Truck of the

Year. Shift points are now perfectly coordinated with the torque curve allowing me to have the power I need in daily driving without jamming the pedal to the floor. Toggle to Econ mode with the cruise control button for maximum MPG, and is still more driveable than the awful stock tune. Tow mode remains unchanged if you want it. No downside to this tune. Sorry it took me a year to find Trifecta.

On Friday night I applied the Trifecta Advantage powertrain recalibration to my 2015 Chevrolet Colorado pickup. What an amazing difference! My shifts are now properly-timed, quick, and the truck is so much more responsive and pleasurable to drive. Now with over 300 miles of driving I'm noticing another benefit -- increased MPG! Before I averaged 22 MPG. With mostly Interstate miles, driving 65-75 MPH, I'm now seeing 30 MPG. Amazing, just amazing. I was looking for better transmission performance and would have taken a minor loss in MPG to get it -- so this is a very happy surprise. I am NOT a gearhead and I don't "tinker" with my vehicles so I approached this with trepidation. However, the install was easy and trouble-free. I could not be more pleased!

This tune is awesome. It REALLY wakes up the truck and no more slow throttle response - it's instant now. It really fixes the gearing as well. I highly recommend it!

Very happy overall with this product. Noticeable difference in power, shifting, and gas mileage as compared to stock. Very simple installation process as long as you understand to WAIT until the installation is finished. Took less than 30 minutes. Very simple to change from performance back to "stock" tune by pressing the cruise control power button. Excellent product and excellent service thus far. Well done.

Really amazed at the difference in power with this tune. Never was a believer in tuners for gas engines before but I am a believer now. The power is greatly improved in the tune mode with 1 to 2 mpg better fuel economy in the ECO mode, which still has good power. WOT Tuning was great to work with and answered all my questions. The install was pretty simple and I like the fact that you can remove it and put your stock tune back in whenever you want. Great product!

Totally transformed my truck's shifting performance. Turned it from a frustrating experience to a joy to drive. I am sure GM programmed the truck to get the best mileage on the EPA loop which isn't a real world driving experience. The performance mode is a hoot but ECO mode is where I think this tune is worth the cost. Shifting is improved and my mileage has increased to the point of offsetting the added cost of premium fuel. Plus with flick of a button a have more aggressive engine and transmission tuning.
