TRIFECTA is pleased to announce the Buick Encore Sport Touring MY2016--2018+ vehicle software recalibration (reflash) for vehicles utilizing the 1.4L turbo (LE2) engine with either the 6 speed automatic transmission (6T40 / RPO:MNH). Specific gains over factory calibration are up to (uncorrected) 97lb-ft of torque and 59 horsepower, with peak gains showing at up to 74lb-ft of torque and 51 horsepower, with no vehicle modifications beyond the calibration.
 
The TRIFECTA Powertrain Calibration for the Buick Encore Sport Touring MY2016--2018+ includes a TRIFECTA flash loader.
 
Specifications of the TRIFECTA Performance Buick Encore Sport Touring MY2016--2018+ 1.4L turbo LE2 ECM software reprogramming:
 
-gains of up to +97 ft-lbs and +59 WHP under the curve (and +74 ft-lbs and +51 WHP peak) on 92 octane
-Powertrain calibration has been tested and validated for various environments, such as cold/heat, elevation, and variations in fuel quality
-Power feels linear and immediately responsive (improved drivability and throttle attentiveness)
-Retains all GM OE diagnostics and ECM functionality

-TRIFECTA PASM (Performance Auto Stop Mode):
 
When the cruise control subsystem is armed (via the steering wheel button), auto-stop works normally, just as it did from the factory. When the cruise control subsystem is disarmed, auto-stop events are re-calibrated with sport and performance strictly in mind (available only with vehicles equipped with cruise control from the factory).
 
Furthermore, the feature can be enabled and disabled at any time. For example:
 
If the vehicle is auto-stopped, switching the cruise control subsystem off causes the engine to restart immediately.
 
If the engine is running because no auto-stop event could occur due to the cruise control system being disabled, enabling it will cause the engine to stop immediately, provided all of the other auto-stop criteria above is met as well.
 
-TRIFECTA DSVM (Driver Selectable Vehicle Modes):
 
Modify driving profiles based on the cruise control enable setting (vehicles equipped with cruise control only)
 
Cruise Control ON (armed) = Vehicle responds to pedal input and shift logic similar to factory programming
 
Cruise Control OFF (disarmed / TRIFECTA mode) = Vehicle responds more aggressively to throttle input, shifts are optimized for performance*
 
* - Fuel economy observed in TRIFECTA mode was observed to be similar to original factory fuel economy figures assuming “regular” driving style is adhered to
 
-TRIFECTA Advanced Zoned Knock Control Algorithm:
 
Customized operating system enhancements allow for zoning of knock adaptation factors to provide superior dynamic knock detection and control. Allows for operation with improved power profiles under factory-specified minimum fuel requirements (“87 octane” – see owner's manual for full details) as well as fully optimized power with higher octane fuels.

-Estimated installation time of ~20 minutes
-Premium fuel is recommended for maximum power output, but not required

Trifecta,

Today I tried the calibration in my car and would like to pass my first impressions. The car changed from water to wine. I noticed that the accelerator pedal got the perfect sensitivity. I also noticed that the car keeps pushing hard until 4000 rpm and I also felt the change in the automatic change that the gearshifts were faster. I would like to emphasize that the calibration worked perfectly with the flex engine used in Brazil or only with hydrated alcohol sold in Brazil. I just got compliments to my calibration and the ability to turn off the start stop.
