This release post is a presentation of the software engineering capabilities of TRIFECTA Performance: TRIFECTA presents a complete powertrain power delivery profile recalibration for the MY2015+ Chevrolet Colorado / GMC Canyon 2.5L I4 LCV engine and corresponding 6L50 automatic transmission reprogramming. The TRIFECTA Performance Chevrolet Colorado 2.5L I4 LCV and GMC Canyon 2.5L I4 LCV MY2015+ powertrain calibration is an easy to install software performance recalibration with an EZ Flash cable device that will yield gains of up to +25 ft-lbs @ 3250 RPM and +16 WHP @ 3400 RPM (Peak vs peak gains of up to +13 ft-lbs and +9 WHP) to a completely stock Chevrolet Colorado 2.5 I4 (LCV) MY2015.

  • 17 Digit Vehicle Identification Number.

    Must be exactly 17 digits, 9th digit must be 0--9 or 'X', and cannot contain characters 'I', 'O', or 'Q'.

Wow. I waited to long to do this. My stock 2015 colorado with the 2.5l 4 banger (6 speed trans) was not slow, but certainly not quick. This tune is like having a different engine and transmission.

 

Shifts are smoother, torque comes on early and feels like I have it in 4 low. It is awesome. You wont get out of your driveway before you notice the difference. 

 

The go pedal is predictable now, trans shifts less and makes the vehicle drive like it should have from the factory. Chevy should layoff whoever programed their stock tune and farm the work out to trifecta. After experiencing the difference, it really makes you wonder what clipboard warrior at gm neutered these awesome trucks. 

 

In conclusion, it is worth every penny. I hate spending money and this was no small amount to me, but it was worth every cent. Do it, you wont regret it. Your truck will thank you.

If you have been rolling it around thinking about it. Wondering if it is worth it. It is definitely worth it. My 2019 2.5l 6spd 2wd Colorado wasn't bad by no means when I bought it. This tune brought my truck to life. The power. The shifting. The pedal. All of it is greatly enhanced. No doubt about it.

I did a 2" leveling kit, 1 1/2" wheel spacers, front and rear hitches the same day so I can't say what economy is like. Anyways, it is not like the movies. It is not nitrous. Not like a turbo. Not like a blower. It is a factory tune. And it is above and beyond my expectations. Thank you

Excellent tune.  2018 Canyon 2.5L 6 speed manual.  Like other reviews, I reached the same conclusion:  You will notice the difference in the butt-o-meter.  There is no guessing, it definitely pulls stronger throughout the gears and rev range.  Before it was a weak 4 cylinder.  Now it feels like a moderately powered v6.  Not bad at all for $300.

I bought the Colorado WT with the I4 because I needed a truck but did not want to spend 30000.00+ (I remember when trucks were for work and they cost less than a Cadillac).  Needless to say while the LCV engine is a little, normally aspirated powerhouse, it still felt a little sluggish.  The Trifecta tune gave the truck exactly what it needed to FEEL like a work truck:  Low end torque, and more aggressive shifting for passing/hill climbing.  The low end torque boost is immediately felt and the truck even jumps when you give it gas.  Believe it or not this makes a HUGE difference for round-town driving because how often to you stomp on it in town?  Now you don't HAVE to... the low-end torque makes THAT much difference, driving around town is a pleasure.  It also improves passing on the freeway.  The newer shift patterns are also very nice, and make a difference when you do step on it... no hesitation, you drop a gear or two and go.  Anyway, I do recommend this product.

When I tow my 17 foot travel trailer with my 2017 Colorado with a 2.5 liter and a 6 speed manual transmission it just needed a little more power to get up hills. I spent a lot of time trying to find a cheap and easy way of gaining that little bit more power. I all the forums that went to, they all talk about Trifecta performance and that's where I found my answer for more power at cheaper cost that I could afford. The first time I drove the truck blew me away, you feel the deference right away with the first shift. You can just feel the power difference between the stock tune and Advantage tune, it just wants to pull in every gear and now its more fun to drive. If you are looking for a tune that proven and works I recommend Trifecta performance and the Advantage tune.

2018 Chevy Colorado base model 2.5L manual six trans. Advantage.

I bought this truck because it was cheaper than a V6 and I'm going to rack up a lot of miles in a short time. No point in killing a 30, 40, or 50k truck for what I'll be doing . Evan though the truck does alright, I still couldn't leave it alone. I've had different tunes from others for different vehicles, but this is the first one I've had from Trifecta. I didn't have to guess if I felt it or not. I definitely feel the difference. For this trucks configuration I'm surprised how much it changed it. I won't say a beast, but someone definitely spiked the water those critters are drinking under the hood.

It did exactly what they said it would do. I wanted a little extra for towing and not be the last from the stop light. It gave me that and a little more. I'm not to concerned with mileage and so haven't noticed any thing there. I tow a trailer a few times a year with a weight around 2500 to 3000lbs on mostly flat ground. The power comes on great from low to midrange, right where I needed it. Gas I run is 89 and once in a while 91 and It doesn't seem to notice any difference.  For the price, this was money well spent in my opinion. I'm going to say it. This is the best tune I've had for any vehicle I've owned without having to add other performance enhancers to complete the power output.

I have had the trifecta tune for about two weeks now and I enjoy it. It definitely effected how the transmission shifts. In my opinion it makes acceleration smooth when not giving it the beans. When giving said beans, the truck is more inclined to stay in a lower gear to give you more of the 200 ponies you got. I would happily recommend it if you aren’t happy with the truck’s normal transmission logic. It does not “feel” like it has given the truck extra power and does not remove the speed limiter (93) so if you are looking to race a 2.5l i4 Colorado buy a turbo or a different vehicle

At first I was iffy what this tune would do for my truck as I came from a 5.7L V8 and was never impressed with the 4 cylinder in this truck. I even considered trading the truck in for the V6 version. I decided to try this tune and it is a completely different truck. I love driving this truck so much more now. The responsiveness, power, and the shifting are all a lot better than the stock tune. I highly recommend this tune, even Trifecta in general after this, because of the great job they did!

This tune made my Colorado a totally different truck, it's completely transformed, no more lagging transmission, the engine now has power in the mid-range, and it's very quick considering it's a truck with a 4 cylinder. Great job Trifecta!

I have a 2016 Chevy Colorado 2.5l.

All I have to say about the Trifecta 2.5l Advantage tune is......

Quality product! Quality customer service! Easy to install!! Makes a huge difference and you should definitely do it!!!

Only thing is......

Hopefully I can keep my foot off the gas pedal so I can get better mpg as planned, but it's so fun to hit the gas pedal (especially with the K&N intake) lol

This is the 3rd vehicle that I have purchased a tune for. This one is that best one I have got yet!!! It is like a totally different truck. The difference is amazing on this vehicle. It was like the engine was breathing threw a straw before. You can even Hear the difference. Revs up so much faster. Engine would fall on its face before @ 4500 RPM. Now revs solid up to red line. It was like something was wrong with the truck before the tune.
