While on the outside, the 2017--2022 trucks look the same (save for a red V6 on the tailgate), underneath the hood, its a totally new truck. Sporting an application-specific 3.6L V6 of the new HFV6 generation (read more about the differences here: TRIFECTA: We love the Colorado/Canyon. We love the 2017 model even more.) and 8 speed automatic transmission, our engineers had to start from scratch in building the successor to the already best-in-class product for the 2015-2016 Chevrolet Colorado / GMC Canyon.

Telemetry-proven gains in acceleration

Using professional grade industry-standard telemetry equipment, TRIFECTA has also established proven gains of up to .5 seconds in 0-60MPH acceleration times versus the factory calibration through power gains, throttle ramp rates, and shift schedule optimization.




Driver Selectable Vehicle Modes (also known as “DSVM” or “Shift-on-the-fly”):

The ability to change the driving behavior of a truck has always been of great interest to the truck community. TRIFECTA exclusively offers the ability to change between three driving modes, on the fly. Three profiles offered: Sport, Eco, and Tow/Haul
Sport mode offers aggressive pedal response, more progressive downshifts, extended shift points (selected when cruise control system is disarmed)
Eco mode offers economy-centric pedal response and shift points (selected when cruise control system is armed)
Tow/Haul offers the factory tow/haul mode (selected when tow/haul button is pressed / mode engaged)

Accelerator Pedal Detent Delete (Sport Mode):

The LGZ-equipped vehicles, along with most other trucks equipped with an 8 speed automatic transmission have a “detent” at the bottom of the accelerator pedal travel. On the factory calibration, the driver must consciously press through this detent in order to achieve maximum acceleration and full downshifting. While in TRIFECTA's SPORT mode, maximum acceleration and full downshifting can be achieved without passing the detent. This allows for a level of throttle modulation during sporty driving maneuvers not possible on the factory calibration.

TRIFECTA Performance Active Fuel Management (PAFM) (Advantage+ or Elite package)

The LGZ offers V6/V4 mode. GM has succeeded in making V6/V4 transitions (AFM, or Active Fuel Management as GM calls it) extremely smooth, such that in most cases they can't be noticed. However, some customers may have exhaust or other modifications that cause the truck to produce an undesirable exhaust note while in V4 mode. TRIFECTA exclusively offers three options with regard to adjusting AFM parameters with this product:
AFM available/active in all drive modes (default) AFM disabled in Sport mode AFM disabled entirely
Advantage+ and Elite customers may request AFM behavior changes when ordering their product.

Optimum shifting improvements for your transmission – without “unlocking” the TCM

The LGZ equipped vehicles come mated to an 8 speed automatic transmission (8L45). A TRIFECTA exclusive-feature allows recalibration of the transmission's behaviors WITHOUT requiring an expensive, and inconvenient “unlocking” service.

Transformed my 21 ZR2 into an entirely different truck. My vehicle came pre-equipped with GM's Performance Package (CAI + Catback) however on the stock tune it amounted to nothing more than a better sounding vehicle. The Trifecta Elite Tune filled in the missing pieces; the truck not only sounds good but MOVES as good now. Totally TOTALLY worth the investment.

I was very hesitant to spend the amount it cost for the 2017--2022 Chevrolet Colorado - 3.6L - Elite tune. I even talked to Trifecta personnel a few times to make sure I understood everything correctly. I only had one issue loading the tune which was that the program doesn't support the Windows OS that I have on my Surface, once I used my regular laptop everything went very smoothly. I did find an article about the modified OS for Surface systems on Trifecta's site. I have to say I haven't ever had a time where I performed a standalone upgrade o a vehicle that produced the amount of performance I got with this tune. The reason I picked the Elite tune was because I will be making further upgrades to the exhaust and input and Trifecta will modify my tune as many times as needed for the different upgrades. I'm extremley pleased and I'll sugest Trifecta to anyone wanting to improve performance which also includes towing performance.

Like other's have said, this really woke up my Colorado. Once installed, the truck was a lot more fun to drive. Adding this to a stock Z71 2wd 3.6 gave it the pep it needed. Caught myself a few times on the freeway just letting it unwind! MUST HAVE!!

When I bought my 2020 Colorado WT 3.6 crew 4x4 last year I was impressed with this truck. After a while though I was starting to realize that it just didn't act quite up to it's potential in acceleration and overtaking situations. Well friends let me tell you, I got the Trifecta Elite and it's like a whole new beast under the hood! Now, I will say that I also have the Borla type S catback and it did help a little but this new Trifecta Tune really woke her up! The shift points are perfect now, very noticeable increase in acceleration especially from takeoff and pedal response is instant now. After receiving the data cable I quickly downloaded the files needed from the truck and shot them over to Trifecta and they had my new tuning code written and in my account for download within one day! The install took around 10 minutes and I was driving my "new Truck". I highly recommend Trifecta Performance!

Well after much figuring out how to make this tune work....It works!!!! I'm very happy with the results. If you want an uncultured windshield free of a tuner that obstructs your view then you have found one with this trifecta tune forrrrr sure.  The customer service is excellent. They WILL work with you at every step of the install. Needless to say the end result is in a word FANTASTIC!!!  Thanks Thank You GIF by curly_mads   Trifecta your the best!!!

I purchased the elite package because I have an edelbrock supercharger on my 18 ZR2. The edelbrock supplied tune is underwhelming to say the least but trifecta fixed that! The truck runs like you would expect from a supercharged engine now, transmission shift points and throttle response is a night and day difference. My speedometer is now calibrated for larger tires also. I highly recommend trifecta tuning for stock or highly modified vehicles. Definitely worth the money!

After looking around some forums on Taptalk about performance upgrades for my 2018 Chevrolet Colorado Zr2, I finally made my decision to go with Trifecta. I purchased before a week long trip. I was able to download the file while I was on my vacation and noticed the difference immediately! I am not disappointed one bit. She has more pep in her step and is not afraid to push her way through traffic. Also noticed some other things that are beneficial! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking into Trifecta Performance.

I bought my father an Elite tune from Trifecta for his Colorado. I installed an intake, and catback and needed a good tune to finish it off. This thing is a beast now with some 93 octane in the tank. Even with just 87 octane, the difference is substantial. The transmission performs more predictably, and enjoyably now too. You don’t realize just how conservatively tuned these trucks are until Trifecta gets their hands on them. BUY THIS TUNE GUYS.

With the lift, bumper, winch, toolbox with recovery gear, and oversized tires, I lost a bit of power despite having a CAI, exhaust, and TB spacer. Shifting was the biggest issue on uphill drives. Once I uploaded the Trifecta Elite to my 2020 3.6L LT 4x4, she came back to life. So much more power, better-shifting response, and fuel MPG even went up a bit. I have seen other Trifecta customers say it's like a different truck, and I will agree. The power felt in sport mode is incredible!

If you have modifications (Exhaust, CAI, etc.), plans for further upgrades like tire size, re-gear, and want to have the ability to make calibration requests for the life of your truck, then this is the tune you need to get. 

What really solidified my decision to buy was the Trifecta team, their responsiveness, and their helpfulness. Hands down best customer service I have experienced in the industry.

I recently purchased this product for the main reason of speedo correction with these larger tires, 100% bang on now. The transmission shifts with the added HP of the supercharger needed improving and that was also taken care of, customer service is A+ and this tune plays nice with the engine tune from Callaway. I've only got good things to say about Trifecta give them a try you wont regret it 👍.

My 2019 Colorado bone stock had plenty of go but it felt heavy in town and tight traffic. I figured I would give Trifecta a try. I have never tried a tune in any of my vehicles before.

I ordered the AFM disabled in sport mode. After the I installed the tune I hooked up my 21ft. aluminum boat. I didn't notice much but then again it towed well with no problems stock.

I then tried the standard setting and noticed the shift points were a bit more aggressive.

 I then enabled the sport mode and OMG!!!!. I can not believe that 28 HP and 40 Ft LBS of torque can make that big of a difference. If your thinking about it do it.
