I was having issues with 2014 Chevy Malibu Ls. The vehicle kept stalling when autostop kicked in at stops. I installed the tune and havent had a problem since.👍

I’ll split this review into two distinct portions, as I believe they both are integral to your purchase and deserve to be equally represented. The tune: I think the one of best ways to think of the Trifecta Advantage Tune is as ‘OEM Plus’. Everything about the car still works normally and as you expect, no warning lights, no lasting equipment bolted to the car, nothing special to do to use the tune daily, no extra maintenance or special fuel needed. As others have stated in their reviews, it just feels how like the car should have been tuned from the factory, or at the very least tuned this way in a selectable sport mode. Another good way to think about it is, it really ‘wakes the car up’ and makes it feel lively and willing without doing anything too drastic. What you can expect to notice immediately after applying the tune; ·         Much crisper and more progressive throttle response, you just need much less pedal to get the job done, the response is very welcome and does away with any sluggish feel to the powertrain. ·         It gets on boost a bit faster and harder. The car isn’t a weapon by any means, but it gets on the boil sooner and the butt dyno can definitely feel more pep in it’s step. It makes this little 1.4T feel more like the power of a 1.6T ·         The gears rev out to 6000RPM now instead of short shifting, and the shifts themselves feel sportier (especially 2nd to 3rd and above), it also holds gears a bit longer instead of forever trying to get into the highest gear possible as quickly as it can. ·         The trans responds a lot faster and downshifts much quicker when responding to your throttle input, much less sluggish/lugging feeling, it just jumps up a cog or maybe two and gets to work. ·         No notable change to fuel economy. The magic part is how all these things marry together and improve the cars driving character to be much more sporting when you need it to be, and when just cruising about it’s also just more 'sorted' and dialled in. Before it felt like the car really needed to be driven with a super heavy foot to extract it’s potential and even then the trans logic would leave me frustrated. Now the car drives like it always should have, modest but welcome cumulative improvements to the normal day to day driving, and if you need to get up and boogie, it’s ready and willing in every way, and has some more poke to boot. Only downside worth listing is, as my vehicle wasn’t a USDM vehicle, I cannot enable/disable the tune with Cruise control, no biggie for me anyway because the car is better all around – and of course cruise control still works as normal. The team and process: This side of the coin was super important for me. I live in Australia for one (16 hours time difference between us), so all my support has been remote, not to mention the vehicle I’ve had tuned isn’t even listed on their website. I initially contacted TRIFECTA regarding my GM vehicles because I saw they tuned their international counterparts, I have a 2020 Holden Equinox and a 2017 Holden Astra, both have their equivalent powertrains in Chevy vehicles, the Equinox and Cruze. The team asked for the VIN numbers and confirmed they could provide a tune for my vehicles. So I bit the bullet, ordered a couple of tunes and one cable. When it arrived, I was pretty quickly disappointed to see that it couldn’t connect to either vehicle, but TRIFECTA support never seemed to doubt we’d get it working. There were a couple of late nights due to the time difference, but they were always quick to respond. As an IT worker, I can only praise their troubleshooting methodology and processes. I was walked through exactly what to try to get it to work, and was able to send them logs from the EZ Flash app to analyse. The engineers made two revisions to the app itself, and each time it enabled access to another of my vehicles. The pace of their development and wizardry level knowledge of GM cars had me providing all the needed info for my tunes in just a few short days, I think it would have been even faster if I was USA based. I cannot praise the team enough for their effort. They are clearly GM vehicle tuning masters, and on top of that are consummate professionals to deal with at every step of the way, from pre-sales questions, through to the sales experience, support experience if things aren’t totally smooth for whatever reason, and just general advice on the vehicles and tunes themselves. This is where a lot of your hard earned money goes when you buy a tune from TRIFECTA, you’re buying piece of mind, support and a wealth of knowledge to go with it, and to top it off the tune is impeccable, faultless. I would not hesitate for a split-second to purchase another tune from TRIFECTA. Well done.

I installed the Advantage+ on my Colorado over 2 years  ago. In that time, I've lifted it and installed taller tires. This has, in no way, affected the power increase I got when I first installed the tune. I have recommended this product to several people. Those who have installed it have thanked me for the recommendation. I love how my truck runs since installing it. I believe it has, actually, increased my gas mileage as well. Thank you, Trifecta, for making such an awesome product!

I love this product got it for 2014 Chevy Malibu 2.5l 4cyl. It made the car feel like it came alive, much better shift point’s especially on hwy previous to the trifecta performance program when I would get to around 55 mph the car would somewhat hesitate and struggle to stay in 4th gear kept having to downshift to get power to accelerate even uphills, since the upgrade there is power right where it needs to be has my engine running just above 2krpm and can accelerate in the first gears to reach 55mph and maintain speeds through shifts much more smoothly . Also the added benefit of deleting the auto stop has been a lifesaver I’ve not had any issues with it since the program it was throwing multiple codes for the DBCM and various other issues before.. Would recommend to anyone !!

In 2014, I was a lucky recipient of a regal gs tune offered by trifecta on the regalgs site. I had a placard made for meets and shows because it was such a good tune! Needless to say I was totally impressed! I now have a 2015 enclave with a trifecta performance tune and I am equally as happy with it

I bought the Chevy Sonic 1.4L strictly as a commuter car and. Vowed.to myself leave. It stock. Being a gear head and always adding power to whatever vehicle I own , I knew it would only be a matter of time before something was done to it. I been running an Ultra gauge since the car was new and always hated the 228 engine temp. I started to get failures in all the plastic parts of the cooling system and decided now is the time for a tune. The car runs much better, I always had.a surging acceleration only when cold and at part throttle, that is now gone. Now the highest I have seen for engine temp is 219.2F degrees and that is only during the first initial time after a cold start. On the highway the engine temp settles at a nice 210.2F  . I have 7k on the tune, and it runs perfect. I was surprised at the midrange power gain from this tune. It makes the Sonic a little safer now for two lane road passing. For being all stock, the HP and Torque gains are impressive. You can really notice the turbo fall off after 5k RPM but that is totally expected and happens with the stock tune as well. That is because the stock turbo is out of volume and physically can not produce any more boost. Thanks Trifecta for all your hard work and changing the desired cooling system setpoint to 210.2 from the OEm 228.6F I feel the Sonic and it's entire Cooling system will last much longer and the added power is much appreciated.

I bought a 2016 Regal GS w/AWD used in November of 2024. I had already used Trifecta in a 2011 Regal CXL and was completely satisfied and wanted to do it again. I bought the tune for the 2016 during the Black Friday sale (great savings!). I received the cable and calibration file within two weeks. This tune really brings the engine to life. With the stock calibration, the engine struggles as it gets to the shift points, like its running out of "breath". With the Trifecta cal, the engine pulls right up to the shift points and you can feel the mid-range pull much harder in the seat of your pants! Part throttle is also much more responsive, less pedal needed. I fully believe the dyno curves that Trifecta publishes. +40ft-lbs and +60HP for a 20 minute computer-flash installation, no other mod is going to give you that! These guys know what they're doing and the results are VERY satisfying.

I purchased the Advantage with auto stop/start disable and was very surprised on the performance difference! My Terrain is much more fun to drive really "takes off" now! The customer service has be great. The file transfer/upload was very easy and no issues. I have already shared my positive experience with others that own GMC/Buick/Cheverolet vehicles and definetely recomend a Trifecta tune.

Holy Smokes !   I bought the Chevy Cruze and it was a fun little package - but it had this annoying flat spot and delayed acceleration for daily driver around town.   Trifecta promised improvement  and Trifecta DELIVERED !  I am a believer - the Chevy Cruze  with the Trifecta Tune is  not event the same car GM sold.   This car is a absolute joy to drive now, It is peppy and purrrs to life at the blip of the throttle.   With the tune it just grabs a gear and gets moving !!  You literally can feel the seat dyno improvement IMMEDIATELY after programming. THANK YOU Trifecta !  What an amazing product.   GM could take some notes and it should have come from the factory this way!!!

So far so great. I only had this vehicle for a couple weeks before implementation but my immediate observations are that this tune removed the dead zone at the onset of the throttle. That, combined with whatever shift points TriFecta altered between 45-70mph highway speeds make the swing into traffic far smoother and cleaner versus the stock I got it with. This particular car/transmission in general does seem to like a little push. By that I mean, the first to second shift is still a little chunky when taking it easy (under or at 2k RPM), but heavier pulls in the 3-5k RPM range are excellent with this tune, including the aforementioned first to second. I am planning on doing a couple bolt-on adjustments with their tunes, such as bigger throttle body w/CAI and possibly a cat-back exhaust. More comments to come later after any further ad-ons that require tune adjustments. Vehicle: 2020 Colorado ZR2 Bison Ext Cab  I've never been that pleased with the drivability of my truck. Transmission slow to downshift, chugging up hills around 30-40mph, takes a lot of throttle input to get much output, in general the truck just felt sluggish. I upsized my tires to 33's (255/80r17) and that made the drivability challenges even worse. My other vehicle is a 2024 BMW X5, and that thing is lightning quick to respond to throttle inputs, selecting gears, and overall sporty drivability, which is expected for that vehicle but made transitioning from driving the X5 to the Colorado even more difficult due to the drastically different shifting and throttle application.  At first I assumed I'd need to upgrade the gearing to 4.10 gears, which is a multi-thousand dollar endeavor. Trifecta tunes have been on my radar for a while and I decided to pull the trigger and try it before going down the rabbit hole of changing gears. I am so glad that I did! This new tune is exactly what this truck needed. Drivability in sport mode even with larger tires, feels very similar to my BMW. Throttle sensitivity is increased drastically and the transmission follows suit nicely. This doesn't change how quickly the transmission shifts (so it shifts slower than my BMW) but it stays in the right gear longer and is more eager to downshift which makes a huge difference. While I was previously considering gears and maybe even a supercharger, this tune alone transformed the truck enough to where they're not even on my radar at this time. The need to tinker might come back, but this tune is a fantastic enhancement to an otherwise awesome truck.

The installation was very simple and took less than 5 minutes.  I've done several similar canned tunes including the original "chipping", where you actually put in a new chip in your OBDI ECM.  Without a doubt, this Trifecta tune was the most effective.  With most of the other tunes, the differences were very subtle, but the Trifecta tune is immediately obvious.  Throttle tip-in is more aggressive, to the point I was a bit startled when I first hit the gas.  The transmission holds gear for a bit longer which again allows for better throttle response.  I estimate that this gear holding gives my truck 500+ rpm at low throttle, and more under more aggressive throttle applications.  When I completely lift off the throttle, the transmission upshifts to the same gear it would have been in before the tune.  The transmission also holds a gear better when going downhill.  Overall, this makes the truck much more responsive.  Not sure that this will benefit gas mileage.  I've only driven the truck (with the tune) about 60 miles and mileage is down a bit, but that may be due to my overexuberance with the better throttle response and 60 miles is not long enough for a legitimate test.

I was very skeptical that this would fix the harsh shifting and odd shifting patterns with my stock '17 3.6 NA but immediately after flashing it it was now shifting so smoothly you almost couldnt tell it was shifting, especially compared to the overly jerky movement it was experiencing before. This is what cadillac should have sent out these transmissions with. Another neat surprise was sport mode actually felt like a sport mode, it holds onto lower gears for much longer and the throttle response is much more lively! Literally feels like a different car. Would absolutely recommend if you have similar crappy experiences with the 8l45 transmission! 10/10 will get a tune from them again.

Purchased the "Advantage" package during the Black Friday special for my '19 TourX and have been using it for 3 months. Dollar for dollar nothing will improve your TourX's performance better than this tune. The tune is a bargain and a blast. It makes the vehicle just flat out fun to drive. I've found that the most dramatic effect is when you stomp on it around 35 mph and the TourX goes into rocket ship mode and just takes off.  And it keeps going and going and going. I swear the faster it goes the harder it accelerates. Triple digits happen in a heartbeat. Out of curiosity, I asked Trifecta if the tune eliminated the top speed governor (155 mph from the factory). They stated it does not. I'm curious what the top speed could be with the tune installed and the governor eliminated.  If anyone knows.... Install was easy and took about 8 minutes. There are various options. I set mine to always be on, unless cruise control is activated. Also, I set it to disable auto stop-start. A minor note is that the vehicle idles more smoothly with the tune enabled. Before installing the tune, I would engage auto-stick mode at a stop to prevent the engine from cutting out. It idled OK, but it wasn't as smooth as I would have liked. With the tune, the vehicle idles very smoothly. The only other modification I wanted to make was a change to the exhaust to give it a little more grumble. However, I've found that with Trifecta's longer gears, I have enough grumble to keep me happy so it saved that expense. Also, just like before the tune, 93 octane makes a noticeable difference. All octanes will work fine but, for maximum effect, 93 it must be. I'm very happy with my sleeper wagon with just the Trifecta tune, but I also like the fact that I can upgrade should I ever decide to make other modifications. Overall, 5 glorious stars. Fun, fun, fun!

Yup, just like all the other reviews said... I have a 2018 LT and this tune is no joke. The best way to say it is, your car will rev higher and stay at a higher RPM when accelerating making it stupid fast without much pedal in it. It feels like the fuel map just runs away on you when you barely touch the pedal. As far as the better MPG, I don't know how I will ever save any gas, it's almost always running at a higher RPM and its more fun so I'm on it more often than before the tune... Plus, now I'm paying for Premium Fuel... and not to mention all the front tires I'll go through now...lol...

Nothing short of an amazing experience. I send these guys a message and I have a super knowledgeable answer within minutes during business hours.  Tune is amazing, car has tons more power and pull, didn't think the ltg could be this fun  Also the tune cleared my check engine lights from the CAI and downpipe. They have me logging 30 mins of driving to see if we can squeeze any more juice out of the tune. Can't wait to see if we can  Can't recommend these guys or there tunes enough. I'm extremely impressed.  Thanks!

Got the Advantage tune for my 2018 Regal GS, and I'm EXTERMELY happy with it! It makes the throttle response so much better, and significantly improves the shifting! It honestly feels like a new car. If you drive your GS, well.. like a GS, you'll love this. Even if you drive normally, you will just have a better experience, including much better fuel economy! This is the best thing I've purchased for this vehicle hands down! If you are on the fence, just buy it, seriously, you wont regret it. Support was excellent in getting my file to me asap, and my cable arrived in only two days! Once I pulled the file off my car, and sent it to support, I had it back in less than 12 hours. I installed the tune the next morning, and went for a drive! As long as you have a Windows laptop, and 20 mins of time, you can install this! I cannot recommend this enough! Thank you trifecta for your awesome work on these products!     (picture from the track, I did not have the tune, but sure wish I did back then! maybe its time to go back!)

Just installed the Trifecta on my 16 Regal Preimum.I opted for the cruise control disarm. The entire process was easy even for an old guy like me. The difference in performance has exceeded my expetations, espically through the mid range 40mph up. Old girl finally feels like shes breathing and the shifts are swift and instant when at full throttle,no more rolling into gear. I just have 1 question. What kind of other performance upgrades can i do before i need to recalibrate the flash? Thanks guys for the awesome tune part, and prooving that only real men wear Bowties.
