Wow!! I was having the same problems everyone else was having with the weird down shifting and thought I would give trifecta a try. What a difference. Let me start by saying I first purchased a big name competitor's tuner because I read where it would fix the problem and it didn't. I read about trifecta on a Colorado forum and was skeptical but I returned the tuner that I had purchased and ordered the trifecta tune. I'm speechless, now my truck is fun to drive and as a bonus it now has more power and response plus I gained 3 mpg ( economy mode). This tune is worth every penny and more. The only problem I have with the trifecta tune is now in sport mode it is way too much fun to drive!!

I purchased the Advantage package; as my powertrain and wheels/tires are stock. Awesome Tune!!!! my 2016 Colorado Z-71 now performs like it should have from GM. The lagging in shifting and in RPM's and the sudden awkward gear changes and lack of power are gone. It is like the truck now has a "sport mode" and it is so fun to drive. I almost sold this truck before I got this tune. Now I love this truck. I highly recommend this tune.

If you've thought about getting rid of your Colorado because of the poor factory tune, purchase this software. Genuinely feels like this is the way the truck is supposed to drive. Thanks to this product I no longer want to drive it off a cliff. Thank you Trifecta!

Best $300 ever spent!! 2015 Colorado Z71, was never happy with how the truck shifted, from the day I got it. Asked dealership, every time that I went in, if others were complaining about their trucks not shifting right. They said it was the way they were supposed to shift. I had gotten to the point that I was driving mine in the "manual" mode and just shifting it myself, but still it would chug and lurch, if I didn't get it shifted down in time. I kept waiting for there to be a recall or something - but, it never happened... Finally, I went to the Colorado complaint forum, and someone mentioned the Trifecta Tune. I was hesitant, but after reading the reviews I was eager to give it a try. Like countless others on here have said - I actually enjoy driving my truck, now. I drive 95% in the ECO mode, and the truck shifts like it should!! I cant believe I drove for 40,000 miles before finding out about this. Just makes no sense to me why Chevy didn't have this truck tuned like this from the factory. Anyway, if you are contemplating the tune - GET IT! you wont regret it..

One other comment - if you want true peace and joy - like this world can not give - give your heart to the Lord (Jesus Christ). It`s the greatest thing that ever happened in my life! Greatest thing that could ever happen in yours, too ! May the good Lord bless all who read this.... Jason

Ok so I purchase a 2015 Chevy Colorado. Low mileage so I took it on a very long test drive before I purchased it. Was Leary of the 25 K on the odometer.

 

Rode great. Nothing unusual.

 

Had it for a few months and one day, stalled out at a red light.

From that point on, three or fours days out of the week, truck ran like crap!

Poor acceleration, slow to shift, up or down, Truck just got all confused. I had to bury the gas pedal to get any sort of reaction out of the 306 HP vvt v6. Had enough with dealers telling me there nothing wrong! Just installed the Advantage package and its as if I dumped nitrous in the tank!!!!Drives great! Responsive and I can really feel the tourque increase!! Best $300.00 I've spent in a long time. Thanks Trifecta!!

Trifecta was a last ditch effort to fix a problem and I came across a reference to them in a Chevy Colorado forum discussing the infamous transmission issues. I have been chasing down a stuttering problem with my 2015 Chevy Colorado for years. I had the transmission rebuilt, Ive replaced the O2 Sensors, I replaced the Air Flow Sensor, Ive used additives, somethings helped but none eliminated the problem. At lower RPMs and either stop and go traffic or going up slight hills, the truck would stutter. After flashing with the Trifecta program, the stuttering went away using the sport program or the ecco mode. The sports mode is a blast but a bit of a gas guzzler and the ecco mode gets me a couple miles per gallon over the stock program.

The program was real issue to use, had a slight hiccup when it tried to do a firmware update but customer service was right on it had immediately helped me through the issue.

Definitely not disappointed.

I received my package yesterday. Let me tell you about my Trifecta Performance Tuned 2015 Chevy Colorado 3.6L. (57,000 Miles)

The transmission shifting is now where it should be. No more searching for the right gear. The throttle response is outstanding. I will update once I get a chance to check fuel mileage. Trifecta Performance is worth the money so far!!!

There are so many combinations for this tune: premium gas, regular gas, sport mode, eco-mode, towing, etc.I have been logging in data since my purchase in July and here is what I came up with. I am just going to give you a couple of scenarios.

The main reason I purchased this tune was for the towing aspect  I tow 6000 pounds with a 7000 pound rating v6 Colorado. All the data logged is with brand new tires, 37 pounds of air in the tires, the speed limit and cruise control when not towing  

When towing, I got about two more miles per gallon with both premium and regular gas.The difference is that with the premium gas, the truck doesn’t downshift as much as I have a lot of hills where I live. That equates to lower transmission temperatures which was really important to me,  and of course better gas mileage   With the more expensive premium gas, the better gas mileage does not offset the cost of the gas, however it’s much less strain on the transmission.

 I just came off a non towing 256 mile trip to and from Gatlinburg Tennessee. 37 pounds of air in the tires, doing the speed limit, cruise control, combination of mostly highway, but some rural roads and some work traffic involved  I got 31.4 MPG! That’s right, with my six cylinder Colorado.

 I also drove 70 strictly flat highway miles with the cruise control.33.3 mpg!  

I took screenshots of my dashboard to show all these figures because they are kind of hard to believe.

So now, with three months of testing different variations, I decided that in the towing season (RV) I’m going to use premium gas in the sport mode. When I’m done towing I will be using regular gas in the eco-mode

I sold this truck a couple years ago, but it had the tune from nearly new to 60k miles.  I averaged 24.5mpg over that time.  This includes towing a boat for some of those miles, and I live in a mountainous area of San Diego County.  YMMV, but probably better than what I got.  Also, putting it in "secret" sport mode made it abusively-fast!  These folks at Trifecta know their stuff!

Thank you Trifecta! My Colorado is bone stock. I added the Trifecta tune and couldn’t believe the improvements. I’m a old guy so I run almost always in Eco mode. My daily driving fuel mileage went from 22.5 to 26. The drive-ability is greatly improved. Shift points so much better. It went from a good truck to a great truck!

I purchase TRIFECTA not knowing what to expect. Looking online everyones products promises results. But I took a leap and purchased this tuning for my stock 2016 colorado and brought new life to my truck. I have it on sports mode all the time now and the shifting is seamless. Great product for the cost!

The Trifecta tune was quite easy and very simple to install. After loading, my Colorado was transformed into a new truck! I absolutely hated the stock tuning and the horrible stock shifting. Now my truck shifts properly and accelerates with greatly improved performance. This is the best "accessory" I have installed on this truck. I wish I had known about Trifecta when I bought the truck instead of suffering with it the past few years. 

Now if they would come out with a similar tuning setup for my 2018 Chevy Equinox 1.6 Diesel.....

I've been really happy with this tune. My Colorado seems really light on it's wheels now. The "sport " mode is a bonus. Makes red light launches a seat of your pants experience. Plus I'm seeing 26 to 27 mpg hwy with "eco" mode that beats the 23 to 24 mpg I was seeing stock. I've put close to 4,000 miles on the tune and with no regrets so far. 2016 Colorado LT 3.6l with tow package w/ 28k. Keep up the good work Trifecta!

2016 Colorado V6 WT 4X4
All stock except for a K&N drop in filter and changed the 16" steel rims to the 17" Alloy.
Not a single issue.
CT driving is always up and down hills and mountains and my MPG per tank was always 17-19 depending on how much longer highway driving I'll do. After install and only going from 87oct to 89oct (91 isn't an option in my area. only 93) my mpg went to 20-25.
All the low speed passing issues I had are gone. No more needing to stomp on it to get to downshift to pass someone doing 30 in a 45 zone. And that's in economy mode.
Performance mode is unbelievable. Wanted to see if the 99mph cap was lifted with this. On the highway one night put it in performance and punched it. 70 to 115 in less than 3 seconds. Only reason I didn't go faster was because I ran out of straight road.
Took less than 10 minutes to install after hookup to my laptop.

Side note: Remember to be in economy mode when driving in snow.....

I bought the tune for my 2015 Colorado after hearing good things from others who purchased it.  It performs better than I expected.  The shift points are right where GM should have put them in the first place.  The truck now pulls hard after shifting into second gear.  It feels like it has a lot more power now.  I've loved this truck ever since I bought it, but the shifting was the weak point.  The Trifecta tune was a great improvement!  Don't be scared.  Installation is easy.  The staff at Trifecta is also very helpful.

After doing some research decided to order the trifecta tune and installed it about 2weeks ago. Install

took about 10 minutes very easy to install. Took 2016 colorado for a ride and now it runs like a muscle

car in Sport mode. Now have smoother shift points, quicker throttle response and more horsepower.

 

Customer service is Great they answered all my questions very quickly via emails. Should of got this

tune 2 years ago but I'm glad I found these guys after doing my research. Would Highly recommend

the trifecta tune.

 

Just want to say thanks guys at trifecta having a blast now with my Truck.

The flash worked like a charm on my stock 2015 3.6l Colorado, took me maybe 10 minutes to complete. Love the way the truck runs now. I really wonder why they do not program the ECU like that at the factory. It works great all around but especially at low speed - it's really night and day, no more transmission going into the wrong gear and engine lugging. The throttle response is fantastic! The overall driving experience is so much better.

 

One note - I got the OBD flash loader in the mail before the actual tune file was ready on the website. I was confused at first because the flash loader file was there and I didn't know the tune file was separate. I sent a message to support and they responded quickly (on New Years Day!), and said the file was in progress. I had it in a couple hours after that. From the time of my order (Christmas weekend) to the time I had the flash installed was eight days, and that included two holidays. As fast as that was, I'm guessing it would be even quicker during a normal shipping cycle.

 

My only regret is I didn't do this sooner!

I love it!!  I always liked my truck -- but now I LOVE it!!

I park my truck on gravel.  So after the tune I touched the throttle and spun the back wheels without trying!!  It is soooooo much more responsive at all speeds.  I love the feel of both tunes (with the cruse control off and on), but have gotten totally spoiled with the new feel with the cruse control off.  I do have to be a bit careful accelerating through tight corners with no load in the bed.  The extra torque can make to back end lose traction. 

I have not had any long enough trips to get a good handle on the change in MPG.  

And Michael was a tremendous help with his quick responses to my questions.

What a great tune, as well as excellent customer service! Before the truck felt sluggish, because it was constantly shifting all over the place, and lazily sliding between gears. Not anymore. The shifts are firm, and are in the right places.  If you’re driving around in tow mode in an effort to help, an oddly programmed stock vehicle, this is an awesome option!

I bought trifecta after hearing nothing but positives from word of mouth. All I can say is WOW!!. This tune makes the issues I had with my Colorado non existent. I now get great gas mileage, better throttle response, and just overall more power. I am impressed with this product and recommend it for anyone who wants better performance in their vehicle.

Let start by saying if yiur having issues with your GM Canyon/Colorado , shifting, stalling out on remote start. Hard shifting, radio changing stations, clunk noise under load, gone to dealership to hear that's normal and no recalls , Trifecta is the cure your looking for period, shifting fixed, stalling , fixed. Hard clunk, fixed, radio fixed, smooth underload , why cause while your on the fence I got trifecta and enjoy my truck and flying the trifecta logo.

Trifecta is a class act. I ordered the Advantage tune for my stock Colorado around 12:30pm on June 16. By 3:30 that that same afternoon, the EZFlash software and tune file were ready for me to download...you simply can't beat that kind of service.

It only took about 10 minutes to flash the tune to my truck, and I could not be happier. In "Sport Mode" the truck shifts better than it ever has, and the throttle response is incredible....power to spare. I live in the Eastern Foothills where the roads are hilly and curvy...so this is the mode I will likely use most often.

"Eco mode" feels a lot like the stock tune, with only slightly better shifting, but, according to the trip counter, it about 6mpg more on the highway this afternoon.

All-in-all..I am extremely happy I decided to pull the trigger on this and would recommend this product to anyone looking to get the most out of a vehicle.

Purchased the Trifecta tune for my 2016 Chevy Colorado the tune did just as promised and really gave my v-6 more life and changed the annoying shifting pattern! I had some technical Issues at first getting It Installed but after Michael stepped In and guided me thru the process it was all good. I would recommend the tune but would suggest you have some experience with a laptop and know how to navigate with downloads etc. as It can be a bit frustrating if not.

I recently purchased a Colorado Z71 and the truck was great but didn't have the "umph" that I expected it would. I also live at a high elevation (5,800ft), so I knew some power was being zapped. I found Trifecta on the Colorado Fans forum. There was nothing but positive responses so I decided to try them out, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Loading the tune took all of 15 minutes and the results were immediately apparent. Truck felt so much more powerful throughout the entire rev range. The truck down shifted smarter and faster. I also saw am increase in MPG when in "Eco Mode" (aka Cruise Control on) on the highway. On a recent 120 mile trip, I averaged 29mpg. Needless to say, I am very happy.

I just installed my trifecta advantage in my 2015 colorado 3.6 two wheel drive truck. What a difference it makes in the shifting compared to the factory settings. I've driven the truck for over 30.000 miles factory stock, after the install of the advantage. Wish i would have got it much sooner. I highly recommend this product to fix that clunky factory shift. I've not had a chance to even try the performance side but i'm sure it will be good.
