TRIFECTA is pleased to announce the immediate availability of the 2016--2017 Chevrolet Malibu vehicle software recalibration (reflash) for vehicles utilizing the 1.5L Turbo (RPO: LFV) with 6 speed automatic transmission (Delphi 6T40 / RPO:MNH). Specific gains over factory calibration are up to (uncorrected) 35lb-ft of torque and 48 horsepower with no vehicle modifications beyond the updated software calibration.
 
TRIFECTA's 2016--2017 Malibu recalibration is complimented by a fully developed 6-speed automatic transmission calibration to support the increased power delivery profile and to offer dramatically improved driving characteristics from everyday driving maneuvers. The complete powertrain calibration also includes ESC (Stabilitrak) program enhancements.
 
Specifications of the TRIFECTA Performance 2016--2017 Malibu ECM software reprogramming:
Fuel economy is improved (up to 39.5MPG highway observed / 1.5L), dependent on fuel grade and driving conditions Retains all GM OE diagnostics and ECM functionality Retains all OE error code reporting and functionality Emissions readiness checks are present; emissions compliant Maintains functionality of ABS and TC systems Knock detection mechanisms and OE engine knock detection sensitivity is retained Return to stock functionality included with EZ Flash cable and software Tested on all available grades of fuel (87, 89, 91, 92, and 93 octane).

  • 17 Digit Vehicle Identification Number.

    Must be exactly 17 digits, 9th digit must be 0--9 or 'X', and cannot contain characters 'I', 'O', or 'Q'.

This Tune is AWESOME!! ive been running this tune for about 2 months. Its been great all around. The performance is a huge boost i also have an AEM air intake installed and the car PULLS like crazy. At low boost speeds it just accelerates really fast you dont have to floor it to be flying. Ive beaten alot of cars with this tune theyre usually not expecting your malibu to be that fast. Id definitely say it added all the torque and hp that it says. The only thing i cant speak for is gas mileage. I dont see how you would get 40+ mpg unless you baby the pedal. I usually get 28-32mpg highway with this tune and im usually going 80mph most of the time on highway. But dont expect to get anything like that in the city especially if you have a heavy foot. My car gets up to 100+ mph fast. It also shifts around 5000 rpm instead of whatever it was before. The shift patterns are much better the car doesnt just shift or downshift pointlessly. All around i definitely recommend this especially if you have an intake.

Had some initial problems with the EZ scan not detecting my vehicle. In less than 24 hours Trifecta Support resolved this issue for everybody and did an update for the EZ scan download on their website. After that, they made my calibration for my car and within about 3 hours it was available for download. Download to vehicle was no problem at all, for me only took about  10-15 minutes total. Just got done taking the car for the initial drive after, and words cannot describe the difference it has made to the vehicle. IT IS NIGHT AND DAY!!! The only modification I had done to it previously was an AEM cold air intake (highly recommended for this car btw) which did give it a boost and loudish intake noise. With the tune now it pulls SO hard from a dig, which it never had before (I think like 70 ft lbs from a stop). On the test drive I turned traction control and stablitrak off and actually roasted the tires at the light. Trifecta was a huge help from the timing of purchase to tuning of vehicle, support is always willing to help.

Hands down get this tune..........nothing else to say!
