Design parameters (and specifications) of the Cadillac CTS 2.0T LTG Forged Connecting Rods: -Produced from vacuum degassed 4340 chromoly alloy steel. -FEA/CAM/CAD designed with a fully machined profile removes excess weight from noncritical areas while retaining maximum material in strength critical areas for the lightest and strongest LTG connecting rods. -Specific TRIFECTA design specifications creates a unique profile that minimizes localized stress concentrations by utilizing increased minimum thickness on cap cross sections and bolt stress sections.
